ENTREPRENEURSHIP

CULTIVATING FINANCIAL WELLNESS

Our entrepreneur programs feature rigorous multi-week training workshops that help small business owners in underserved communities start, manage, and grow their businesses. Programs also include technical assistance and coaching/mentoring that guide participants throughout their business journey.

KEY PROGRAMS

YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR ACADEMY

YEA is a 6-week training program in which participants complete three modules: 1) Business Basics, 2) Leadership, and 3) Business Idea Development 

YEA’s loan fund has funded over $100,000 to 15 participants. 

YEA also includes the First Citizens Bank MLK Scholarship Fund, dedicated to supporting higher education, and provides tuition-assistance grants to 20-25 High School and College Students annually.

  • Partner with Orange County “ACCESS” Schools

  • Pitch Competitions for a chance at $5,000 start-up loan

  • Tuition-assistance grants

  • Mentoring and Coaching

  • Business start up funds

BANKING ON YOUR SUCCESS

Six weeks training program in which participants complete two modules:

 

1) Business Essentials; Formation and Structure, financial management, operations, sales and marketing, and

 

2) Access to Capital; Credit and Financial Preparation, Leadership, and Business Plan Development. 

  • Partner with Banking Representatives

  • Pitch Competitions for up to $1,500 in funding

  • Business Grants

  • Mentoring and Coaching Support

COR CDC is proud to partner with the City of Irvine to provide equitable funding access to capital for small and emerging businesses in the city through our Irvine Impact Fund program.
